Who Is Jerry Barizo?

Jerry Barizo specializes in Wedding Photography, elegant portraiture and special events photography.

Owner/photographer Jerry Barizo started his San Diego, California–based photography business in 1981. He has photographed weddings and special events in the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Guam and Palau Islands, and the United States.

In 1994, Jerry Barizo branched out into calendar photography and has produced four-color calendars of and about the Philippines. Previous issues of the Philippine Calendar featured such scenic views as Bicol's Mayon Volcano, Cagsawa Ruins and Hoyop-hoyopan Caves, Luneta, Baguio, Banaue Rice Terraces, Puerto Galera, Magellan's Cross, the Lapu-Lapu Memorial and many others.

Jerry Barizo is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, and the Professional Photographers of California. He is also a past president and active member of the Professional Photographers of San Diego County. His award-winning photographs have been showcased in major photographic competitions and exhibitions in the Western United States.

In March, 1996, Jerry was the featured speaker in a day-long seminar/workshop on 'Wedding Portrait Photography' in Intramuros, Manila sponsored by the Society of Portrait Photographers of the Philippines. He was invited back to speak on 'Advanced Wedding Photography' in a week-long PhotoWorld Manila '97 Convention and Trade Show in February, 1997 at the Asian Institute of Management and the Glorietta Mall in Makati City sponsored by the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation. In 1998, Jerry was the seminar speaker for a photography workshop hosted by the Framed Shots Camera Club held at PBSP in Intramuros. For 1999, the Pentaprism Camera Club hosted his seminar at the CCP.
